Which companies are exempt from UBO declaration?

This may change depending on the jurisdiction where your company is registered. Therefore, we recommend you consult your local Trade Register and/or UBO Register. However, in general the following legal entity forms ar e exempt from declaring UBOs to the official UBO Register and XXImo: Sole proprietorships/sole traders (eenmanszaken)

  • Private and public limited companies operating on the stock exchange
  • 100% subsidiaries of limited companies that operate on the stock exchange
  • Government institutions and public law legal entities (applicable for the entities registered in the Netherlands)
