To find out, we sat down with Christiaan Rakowski, Solution Architect, ahead of his talk at AWS Summit Amsterdam 2025, where he’ll reveal how XXImo became one of the first EU Visa card issuers to process payments entirely through the AWS Cloud.

“AWS Payment Cryptography provides a modern, cloud-native solution for XXImo’s PCI-compliant cryptography needs. In addition, establishing secure AWS PrivateLink connectivity with Visa Cloud Connect enables a secure connection without traversing the public internet, while at the same time reducing integration times to streamline the entire transaction processing flow,” said Scott Mullins, Managing Director, Financial Services, AWS. “With elastic scaling and local AWS Region support for low latency, XXImo can focus more on growing their business and less on their infrastructure."
